Quark is named after the elementary particles known as "quarks". These were formed right after the big bang and are the base of all known matter in the universe. Quark was created to be a creative and friendly approach for people interested in Space Exploration that may or may not have in-depth knowledge of science, and technology, or are familiar with the space industry.
